Atomic Medium is a Tempe, Arizona, US company specializing in computer technology with two major divisions, Machine Automation and Business Services. The rapid merging and interdependence of computing technologies compelled Atomic Medium to develop expertise in the Information Technology realm to support our Machine Automation efforts. In addition to providing inter-disciplinary, premier service to our business and semiconductor customers, this led to the development of the RIOC™ system, a software/hardware process control and reporting system designed to improve process control on existing wafer processing equipment.

Machine Automation

Our Machine Automation staff has combined decades of experience in the semiconductor industry spanning from embedded controls to SECS/GEM factory automation. Atomic Medium specializes in enabling Semiconductor Device Manufacturers to maximize the value and life of their equipment infrastructure. We provide consulting services to device and equipment manufacturers alike to find solutions to process control, factory automation, and data reporting needs. The SECS/GEM-enabled RIOC™ system can often bridge the gap between today's factory automation, data collection and host control needs, and the physical and support limitations of older, legacy equipment.

We design our software and hardware using high-quality standard components and methods to assure that our control software works reliably, yet allows hardware replacement or upgrade without the usual problems of obsolescence. Our RIOC™ platform is designed with the ultimate flexibility to interface with almost any semiconductor equipment or photovoltaic equipment and be able to change and grow as the machine automation and process control needs in the fab change.
